Sodium and Chronic Kidney Disease
sodium has much to do with kidney disease, which can help regulate blood pressure, transfer impulses with nerves and muscle contractions, and adjust acid-base balance in blood. patients with kidney disease should eat low sodium diet. in kidney disease, kidney has a hard time  removing excessive sodium in body, leading to high blood pressure and swelling. besides, patients with kidney disease should eat a low protein, low phosphorus and low potassium diet.
